The site is open year round for public tours and features several toys, props and furnishings from the movie, including the Major Award Leg Lamp, Randy’s snowsuit and even the family car! Tickets to the attraction include access to the house and the accompanying museum.

Events and Activities at A Christmas Story House Museum

A Christmas Story House Museum hosts a number of special events and activities throughout the year, including appearances from former cast members, autograph sessions and onsite movie presentations. Visitors also have a chance to see behind-the-scenes photographs of the set, and purchase souvenirs and memorabilia from the gift shop.

Group tours are available for large parties, and fans can pick up some fun facts and movie trivia during their visit. The site is both a tribute and a re-creation of the Parker family’s house that was located in Hohman, Indiana. The film adaptation of the stories involved several scenes that were shot in Cleveland.

Visiting A Christmas Story House Museum

In addition to taking a guided tour of the house and museum during their visit, visitors can attend special events such as A Christmas Story Convention. In 2010, the convention coincided with Cleveland’s Winterfest and featured a downtown tree lighting ceremony, movie screening with commentary, rides on the original fire truck and a BB gun range in the back yard of the house.
