If you’re a fan of rock and roll, don’t miss the chance to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum located in the heart of the downtown Cleveland historic district. The museum showcases an extensive collection of music memorabilia, featuring the works of famous rock musicians, artists, writers and entertainers throughout history.

Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the museum to learn about the countercultures and rock music movement in the Western world, and attend numerous free programs and events throughout the year.

Highlights of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a 150,000-square foot facility featuring seven floors, five theaters for films, and space for special exhibits. The venue is a non-profit organization that collects, preserves, showcases and interprets rock and roll music, and features an extensive library and archives. The museum opened its doors in 1995 and has welcomed nearly eight million visitors from around the globe since its opening day.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum also hosts the annual Rock Hall Ball celebration, featuring live bands and DJs, a VIP party. Ball guests have the chance to wear their finest stage costumes and rock attire throughout the event.

Visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum funds several efforts to preserve the rich history of rock and roll, and offers several free public programs and special exhibits throughout the year. The museum is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, and is open on extended hours during the summer months.
